Montag 1/1/18
WE DID NOTHING BECAUSE WE WERE HUNGOVER THEN WE HAD TO WAIT NEARLY 2 HOURS FOR OUR TAKEAWAY IT WAS NO GOOD
Dienstag 2/1
We got up and went to Gothmund, which is a little village not too far from me. I thought there'd be lil shops and cafes there but when we got there it turns out there was nothing. We ended up walking near the river around a nature reserve, which was lovely, albeit a bit rainy. Then we did our weekly shop, got in, I put a stew on while Joe cleaned our shoes. Then we ate our stew (it was good I am good), then we watched Baby Driver and had a cuddle. We watched Parks and Rec bonus footage (I have finished the entire 7 seasons in a week and I'm not even sorry). Then I made us sandwiches and we watched Spider-Man Homecoming and debated about whether it is "potato wedges" or "potato wedgies" but I stand by wedgies.
Mittwoch 3/1
We got up and went to Ploen. It was pretty rainy but the town is beautiful. I did however fall up some cobblestone steps so beware of those! We had some lunch. Joe had a turf n' turf n' turf (chicken, pork and steak- he left most of his vegetables) and I had pork medallions with Bratkartoffeln (the best potatoes in the world - like roasted potatoes mixed in with bacon and onions). Then we had a little walk around, it was very quiet. Then we got the train back and sorted out the washing (that had been sat on the line since last year!!!!!!). Then we watched the celebrity bake off with David Mitchell in it. A true gem honestly.
Donnerstag 4/1
Today we went to Rostock to the zoo. They didn't have pandas or anywhere to get a Bratwurst which was disappointing. Then we checked into the hotel (because Joe has been collecting points on hotels.com it only cost us £5!!!) and had a pretty long sleep (we had to be up very early to catch the train). Then we woke up and went for ribs and chips - dinner of the gods.
Freitag 5/1
We headed back to Luebeck and heard some English voices on the train, moaning about the train being 5 minutes late (it had to wait for another connecting train so those people didn't miss it). Typical. We got home, and made chicken wraps.
Samstag 6/1
First we did the weekly food shop and Pfand (got 8 euro off my shop which is cool). We had lunch , then popped to town for presents. Joe bought me a calendar and textbooks on how to learn Polish and Arabic (my new year's resolution). We also bought some cod, ice cream and ice tea for the dinner today. Ok the cod for the dinner but the ice cream and tea were impulsive!!!!! Then we had to run for the bus because our impulsive purchases damn near made us miss it!!! Nightmare, hate running for the bus, I wanted to just miss it but Joe was like "ice cream doesn't hang around". Fine. We got home and pottered around for a bit. Then we got ready to go out. We went to Schiffergesellschaft which is the number 2 restaurant here. We both had a fillet steak and it was pretty awesome.
Sonntag 7/1
Boring cleaning the flat dayyyyyyyy boooooo. Joe's making a cod and chorizo stew for dinner and we'll watch the new King Kong film. Then tomorrow is my birthday!!!!!! But also back to work day booooooooo.
