Ich hatte einen Besuch von meinen Tante, Onkel und Cousin.

Montag 12/2
Just had class as usual and did my shopping for salad and some yoga.
Dienstag 13/2
Was in a different class today. I did my lesson about Birmingham and answered questions from them. I ended up telling them about Crunchies (the chocolate bar with a honeycomb centre) and my teacher asked if I could bring them in at some point, so I texted my aunt to ask her if she could pick some up from the airport before she came over.
Mittwoch 14/2
Did my nutrition lesson with a class at 8am, as the teacher was feeling a little under the weather and I helped her out. Then I got a rest in my next lesson, as they discussed a film they watched (That Sugar Film?).
Dienstag 15/2
Went to my classes, then I had to wait around for a Fachkonferenz (for the foreign language staff). After that I went home and waited for my aunt to come. They arrived in the snow and we went into my apartment for some tea. Then we went to their hotel and had some dinner there and had a couple of drinks (the bartender remembered me from when my mom and Phil stopped there in November- probably because of how much our bar tab cost).
Freitag 16/2
I showed the family around the city, the usual suspect spots like the Holstentor, town's square, C&A, Woolworths, I even got two new handbags (thanks Mags). Then we had a Peter Pane for lunch (their homemade lemonade was amazing). For dinner we went to a place across the road from the hotel. Man their food is good and I had the best wine I've had since I've been here. I had the Luebecker Pannfisch, which was fish with dill on a bed of Bratkartoffeln. I could eat it for the rest of my life I swear.
Samstag 17/2
My aunt and I went for a browse around the shops on Huexstrasse and we had some lunch at the Jazz Cafe. On the night we went for dinner at Schiffergesellschaft, which was beautiful as usual.
Sonntag 18/2
We went to Timmendorfer Strand (where I lived for a month Oct-Nov). It was lovely to return and just walk down the beach (it was cold but sunny). We grabbed some lunch at somewhere that looked suspiciously like a pub. Then we had a coffee and some cake at the cafe that was over the sea on the pier. It was strange going back there and thinking about how far I've come. After that we just had something to eat at the hotel bar. Mate, I ordered fish and chips and it came with FOUR DIPS. FOUR. Amazing. Revolutionary.
Montag 19/2
Said goodbye to my family. It was lovely seeing them. Then I had to do my cover lesson. SPOOKY TIMES. But it actually went well. There was a mutual respect. Then I spent the week fretting about whether or not they'd take the mick with doing their homework.
Dienstag 20/2
I bought the crunchies to my class and I did the nutrition lesson with them. I also told somebody off and it was adrenaline provoking. In the other class they were practising for their Abitur.
Mittwoch
In my first lesson I learned a surprising amount about Elvis (in his last days he consumed 100,000 calories a day- How did he have the time? and when he was younger he ate squirrels and possums). I also had to sit with a group who hadn't done their homework and make sure they did it. Then I had to wait around for 2 hours because my lesson got cancelled. In my last lesson they had to design a campaign against mass shootings. (Have any of you seen Obituaries? You should check it out.)
Donnerstag
I had to do my other cover lesson and they DID THE HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!!!!! (Apart from 3 but I'll take it). Also started watching Germany's Next Top Model. I totally get the hype for Heidi Klum now.
Freitag
Cleaned the flat (it really needed it, cuz I hadn't cleaned it last week). I also wanted to go for a walk around the woods by me but it was all gated up, which was strange because there's loads of World War memorials in there. So I went for a walk around the block while waiting for my washing to be done. Then I had a takeaway for tea and it came in 15 mins but was cooked to perfection. I also had a coconut oil bath. So smooooooooth. I watched 4 Hochzeiten und eine Traumreise. I followed the episode on Facebook too and one woman was very moody on it, but people ended up finding her Facebook profile and tagging her. Man, Germans take reality TV very seriously.
Samstag
Walked into town to the bookshop and bought 5 books and an audiobook. Guy in front of me in the queue turned around and said "Langes Wochenende, na?" You have no idea mate.
Sonntag
Today I've just been doing some reading and watching German TV. I had a bath and cooked my tea. Now I'm watching X-Men Apocalypse on ProSieben. That film isn't so great.
